2022 Business Boost Grant for Queensland Businesses

What could a $15,000 funding boost mean for your business? While the economic recovery in Australia is improving, conditions for businesses of all sizes are quite uncertain, with some small businesses still trying to find their way back.

To help businesses to continue to recover, grow and thrive, the Queensland Government is rolling out Round 2 of the Business Boost Grant to support established small businesses.

This year, the application process includes 2 stages:

Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI)

Stage 2: Full application.

Stage 1 opens for ROI at 9:00 am, 12 August 2022 and closes at 11:59 pm, 19 August 2022. In Stage 2, selected applications from Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full application. Full applications will open for submission at 9:00 am, 29 August 2022 and close at 11.59 pm, 12 September 2022.

Grants of up to $15,000 will be available to eligible small businesses to support advance improvements in their efficiency and productivity. Funded activities supported by this initiative include future planning, specialised and automated software, and staff management, development and training.

Are you eligible for the QLD Business Boost grant?

To be eligible for this grant, your business must:

  • Have fewer than 20 employees at the time of applying for the grant.
  • Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and registered for GST.
  • Have a Queensland headquarters.
  • Have a turnover of between $300,000 and $600,000 in the last financial year (2020–21).
  • Have a publicly reachable web presence (e.g. business website and/or social media pages).
  • Not have been approved for funding under Round 1 of the Business Boost grant program.
  • Not be insolvent or have owners/directors that are an undischarged bankrupt.
