Doing business the way your customers want you to is tricky. Understanding what your customers really want involves dealing with practical insights of their experiences and desires. In this uncertain economic climate, how do you make sure that your customers are not spending their money elsewhere?

When planning for how you will evolve your products and services this year, start by sitting down with your key customers and asking them two questions:

  1. What are the main challenges (good and bad) you will face this year?
  2. In a perfect world what could we do differently to improve our service to you?

In our previous blog, we challenged you to start formulating your game plan. We feel that the key to discovering the REAL opportunities for your business is to identify your customer’s challenges/ideas and translate that into how you can help.

What can you add to your service offering that can help them? Sounds simple and it is! Why not have lunch or a coffee with your top 5 customers prior to year-end and ask each of them these questions, you have nothing to lose.
